The goal of the Municipal Inspectors Network is to facilitate a network where inspectors can connect to other public service professionals across the nation, or just across the hallway, to exchange information, technologies and other issues facing the municipal inspection community."
Inspectors perform a vital function, usually within civil service. To achieve a high level of professional competence requires years of training and experience as well as ongoing education in the thousands of code provisions that are constantly being updated or modified.
To keep up with the growing complexities of code requirements and inspection processes, today’s inspection professionals understand that their peers are an invaluable resource. The most effective way to stay current on new code requirements, innovative construction techniques and materials, standards of practice, and code of ethics is to be part of a peer-to-peer network.

As a Municipal Inspectors Network member you can:
- Participate in Our Forums - Members can make a post on an existing topic or create a new topic with subject and message body.
- Submit Your Own Articles - You can submit articles to the site from the user section.
- Create Your Own Blog - A Blog is a publication of personal thoughts, experiences, and web links. A blog is information that is instantly published to a Web site.

- Create a Group - Your peers are grouped by category. You have an option to set the group as a Hidden Group, in which case your group page cannot be viewed by others
- Create a Network - Members can create networks. And any one with the same interest can join the network

- You can choose 4 setting to control who can access this album:
- Private - Only those who request access and you approve or send access to may view this album
- Public - Everyone can view this album and all photos in it
- Friends - Only people in your friend''s list can view this album
- Selective - Only specified users can view the album
You can send a link to your friends and share your Albums
- Post Videos - You can upload your favorite videos from your local computer or from YouTube.
- Post Bulletins - Bulletins are announcements from friends. You can use bulletins to alert your friends about anything you want.
- Post Tips - Tips are where you can provide a useful piece of information, especially about how to do something. The creator can edit or delete the tip.
- Create Quizzes - You can create a quiz by category, you will be notified to your email with the score when friends take your Quiz.
