According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), there will be job growth for building inspectors between 2008 and 2018.

Increasing concern for public safety and construction quality will increase demand for qualified building inspectors. BLS data also shows that as of May 2008, the median annual salary for building inspectors was $50,180 (www.bls.gov).
