Why do you require employment information on the registration form?
Municipal Inspectors Network is a FREE peer-to-peer network, exclusively for inspectors employed by state, county, or city building departments.
In order to stop bogus registrations by spammers to post their links on our website, or some one trying to collect members information, we use the employment information to verify if, in fact you are (1); who you claim to be, and (2); you are a Municipal Inspector. |

Can any one visiting the site see my profile information?
No, only registered members can see the full details of your profile; your name, job title and who you work for.
Visitors (not registered) can only see your Screen Name and the City and State you're from.
However, keep in mind that any information you post on Hobbies and Interests, Photo Album, Forums and other sections of the site are visible to every one.

How do I change my username?
| You cannot change the username. If you email us your username and password we'll remove your account and you can re-register. |

I've forgotten my password - how can I retrieve it?
| You can click on the 'forgot password' link provided near the login button. |

Why does it take a longer time to upload my images?
| It may be that the image size is pretty bigger. Besides the upload limit, you should not cross the maximum upload limit available for your particular plan. |

How do I allow my friends & family to view my album?
| You can send them the link generated in the Share Album under the link 'Photo Album'. |

Can I make only some of my albums private?
| At the time of creation of an album you can check the check box that indicates a private album. |

Should I keep backups of images that I upload to Municipal Inspectors Network?
| Yes. It is recommended that you back up the images regularly. |
