Building Department Software [by PeterA]

Message Board Guidelines:: Building Department Software
If anyone is looking for building department software, a fairly new company (2006), WAGsys,LLC has debuted a very nice package at an extremmely low price which handles permits, affidavits, inspections, complaints, violations and certificates all in one package. There is even a module for Zoning permits for those that use them. The website is www.WAGsys.com and they offer a free 30 day trial of the complete working program caled BICES (Building Inspection & Code Enforcement System). In these times of tight budgets, a program that is affordable to even the smallest municipalities is news and this one seems to fit the bill.
I have loaded it and would like to get opinions from others
about the program, pricing, etc. I have been a building inspector myself for over 25 years.

Certification and Continuing Education:: ICC Inspector Certification and Renewal
Becoming International Code Council certified in one or more professional categories represents a significant accomplishment that offers national recognition of your achievement; increased earning and career advancement potential; and proof of your knowledge, technical expertise and commitment to protect public health safety and welfare.

Most Code Council examinations are open to all individuals with no prerequisite for experience or education. Code Council certification should be used as one of several measures of an individual’s qualifications when screening applicants for a position.
